Small brown fuzzy flowers often develop from the top of the stem. Cyperus Alternifolius has clumps of bare stems (30-50 cm long) topped with stiff bracts (leaf like) and inflorescence. As they are semi aquatic, they can be grown along the edges of pond or in terrariums by keeping its root system fully submerged.
